Peat Rigg Day One
The children all arrived at school extremely excited to get going. After a quick toilet stop and briefing, we were on our way. A change due to Covid, to the traditional bus sing along meant rhythmic tapping was on the menu. At least there wasn’t much traffic and the air-con worked well… :/
On arrival, Peat Rigg looked welcoming in the sunshine and we were off the coach ready for action. A quick lunch break and it was time for our first activity- stream walk. The walk was long and we learnt many new facts, and some of us even sampled some of the local plants- gorse flowers were not our favourite!
Thankfully the walk culminated in us all getting soaking wet in the tropical waters of North Yorkshire- Mr Osborn and Mr March were delighted to be splashed by your wonderful, wonderful children J
After a stroll back, we showered and then had some tea: the food was absolutely lovely and very filling! It was then time for our final activity of the evening. Some of us went walking out in the 100 acre wood; the rest navigated the nightline and found their second dose of water.
Another quick shower and it was time for supper: hot chocolate and lemon drizzle- yum! After we had cleared up, everyone was exhausted and ready for bed, looking forward to a full day of activities.
Night night.
It sounds like a fun day was had by all!
