Afternoon Work 18/5/20 – 22/5/20

Monday – PE & Computing (Optional

Please make sure you have done some for of exercise today 🙂

Computing – Have a watch of this video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw_udjD2xwo

We are going to try and take our PowerPoint skills to the next level. I would like you to have a go at doing some of the effects that they show in the video. If you’d like to make a quiz, great, but don’t worry if that will take too much time.

Tuesday – Art

Art – How to draw human faces – This is a long video (but very good!) about how to draw faces. You don’t have to use this one at all, but if you have time, I would like you to have a go at improving your ability to draw faces; it is one of the hardest skills but definitely worthwhile. (You don’t have to use that video of course, pick one that suits you better if you like!)

Wednesday – Topic – Sutton Hoo

We are going to be looking into some Anglo-Saxon Artefacts – One of the main sources of these came from a site called Sutton Hoo. Have a look at this video for more information.

You have a choice of task here, you could:

  • Reseach Sutton Hoo a bit more and present your findings on a poster or Powerpoint
  • Draw something that was found at Sutton Hoo
  • Design your own Anglo-Saxon artefact

Thursday – French and Music

French Weather and Seasons (Recap)

French Grammar (This week, don’t worry, not as scary as it sounds!)

Music –

Science – Sir Isaac Newton –Have a look at this video (not sure the real one was quite this arrogant!)

There is a Powerpoint to read at the bottom of this page and some questions to answer as well :).
