Summer Week 3 (Topic and Afternoon)
Monday – PE and Computing
Please make sure you’ve done some form of exercise today. Walk, run, football, Joe Wicks (anyone still doing those?)
The computing will continue from last week. Please continue to work on your coding, using this website https://code.org/minecraft
Pick whichever section you like.
Tuesday – Science and Art.
Art – Linking to our topic of Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, and using the skill of shading, have a look at this video and see if you can draw a medieval sword. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnTBL3eIp8c
Science – Forces – We are going to be looking at Parachutes (using the force of air resistance, or as they say in America, drag). There are 2 videos I’d like you to watch to begin with.
Once you have watched them, have a go at the parachute worksheet (find it at the bottom of this page). That’s your work finished, however there are a couple of extensions you could try.
Extension: Draw a parachute or a use this video to draw the boy parachuting and then label the forces acting upon them.
OR, and only if you really like, make your own parachute. There are loads of different videos on YouTube around how do to do it. Don’t worry if you don’t have the stuff in; it’s not a problem.
Wednesday – Topic and PSHE
In Topic, we are going to take a closer look at the Anglo-Saxons. Please read the presentation and then have a go at one of the worksheets (both found at the bottom of this page).
PSHE – We are starting to look at how the media can influence our lives. All you need to do this afternoon is read the PSHE Presentation (at the bottom of the page).
Thursday – French and Music

Music – Mr Mercer has kindly put together a couple of lessons for us on music; they are both here, have a go at the first one at least 🙂
Extension – Find out your parents’/carer’s top 5 songs of all time and write them on the comments board. You can include yours as well :).
Friday – PE and Topic
Please make sure you have remembered to do some form of exercise today. 🙂
Topic – We would like you to do some research around Anglo-Saxon Food. You can present this however you like, on a poster, some writing, pictures, a PowerPoint Presentation. Be as creative as you like!
