Summer 1 Week 4 Topic
Monday – PE and Computing
PE – Please make sure you’ve remembered to do some form of exercise today!
Computing – To create an E-safety presentation, poster or anything you like to remind people how to stay safe online. https://www.childline.org.uk/info-advice/bullying-abuse-safety/online-mobile-safety/staying-safe-online/ will help if you need some ideas.
Tuesday – Art (a bit longer)
Art – Linking to our topic (and hopefully, our class novel of Beowulf, we would like you to try and draw a dragon). There are many videos on YouTube that might help you, some are quite simple, others quite complicated!) – This is one of the more complex ones, but use any you like or go for it from a picture or even your imagination.
Wednesday – Topic/RE – The Anglo-Saxons and Christianity. There is a presentation to look through and some questions to answer at the end about how Christianity came to Britain. (Found at the bottom of this page)
Thursday – French + Music-
French Months of the year (recap)
French Weather and Seasons (This week)
If you didn’t have a look at these last week (Mr Mercer’s music lessons) have a look today!
Friday – Science
We are going to be looking at forces on the Bloodhound SSC (SuperSonic Car) Project – Please watch this video for an introduction to the project.
For your work, I’d like you to use the internet or other resources to answer the following. You can write them down on the computer, on paper or even better, post your answers in the comments section!
- What does aerodynamic mean?
- What factors/ forces might slow down the Bloodhound SSC?
- Is friction a help or a hindrance to Bloodhound SSC?
- Explain how a parachute helps to slow down Bloodhound SSC.
- Extension – Design your own aerodynamic vehicle and name it!
