Message from your new teachers
Hello and welcome to Year Four!
We have set lots of different activities for you to complete during transition. The activities set are designed to help us get to know you a little better and include a range of writing, number and creative skills! Take a look below to see all of the activities you can do! We would love to see any work that you complete! You can send your work to: year_4@holytrinity.leeds.sch.uk
We know it can be very daunting starting a new school year with a new teacher but especially now because most of us have been away from school for quite a long time. Your new teachers are really looking forward to meeting you all in September! If you have any questions you would like to ask your new class teacher before September you can use the Comments link at the top of this page or email us via our Year 4 email.
We hope you have a lovely summer and look forward to seeing you all in September.

Key Things to be Practising Ready for Year Four
Dear Parents/Carers,
We welcome your children to Year 4!
As we come to the end of our school year, we have provided lots of different activities for the children to complete at home which will help with their transition into Year 4. We have all been really impressed with the enthusiasm and hard work shown by the children during this time.
We have provided a few additional activities for the children to complete in order to practise key skills and consolidate knowledge ready for the new school year:
- To continue regular reading (leaflets, books, newspapers, brochures etc…)
- Spelling practise (days of the week, months, numbers)
- Cursive joined handwriting practise (writing diaries, shopping lists, postcards etc…)
- Practise times tables (up to X12) using TT Rockstars, Hit the button and Maths Frame
- Children will be expected to complete a learning log task linked to our Autumn 1 topic Bright Sparks.
If you would like any further support or guidance with the activities, or how else best to support your child, please contact us via email: year_4@holytrinity.leeds.sch.uk and we will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Enjoy your summer and we will see you in the new school year
Many thanks,
Miss Hickey and Miss Lillington and the Year 4 team
