Year 5 Residential Day Two

Year 5 Residential Day Two

Our Year 5 adventurers had another fantastic day at PGL Newby Wiske! The children woke up bright and ready for the day ahead (despite some 2am night owls) and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of bacon, beans, toast and cereal to fuel them for the exciting activities planned.

Throughout the morning, the children took part in a range of thrilling challenges including the giant swing, orienteering, the leap of faith jump and archery tag. Everyone showed brilliant teamwork, courage and determination as they tried new things and cheered each other on.

After a busy morning, we refuelled with a tasty cheeseburger lunch before heading back out for more afternoon activities. It was wonderful to see the children continuing to challenge themselves and build their confidence.

In the evening, we enjoyed another delicious feast for tea before a much-anticipated visit to the gift shop. The day finished with lots of laughter and fun at the silent disco pyjama party, where the children danced the night away!

After such a busy and exciting day, we now have some very tired children who have headed off to bed. We’re all looking forward to our final day of adventures tomorrow before our return home.

See you all tomorrow.

Night night from all of Year 5 xx
