Year 5 filtration of different materials

Year 5 conducted an experiment to separate a variety solutions using the techniques of filtration, evaporation, magnetism and sieving. The children chose what they believed what the most effective way to separate the mixtures. The mixtures were: salt and water, paperclips and rice, flour and raisins, sand and water.
