Physical Education

Physical Education at Cookridge Holy Trinity

At Cookridge Holy Trinity, Physical Education (PE) plays a vital role in helping our pupils stay healthy, active and confident. Through a broad and engaging PE curriculum, children develop fundamental movement skills, teamwork, resilience and a positive attitude towards physical activity. We ensure every child enjoys taking part, feels included and understands the importance of leading an active lifestyle. By encouraging fitness, cooperation and personal challenge, PE supports not only physical wellbeing, but also pupils’ concentration, self-esteem and overall success in school.

PE Team

Regularly meeting together, the PE Council proudly take on the responsibility of improving PE and sport across the school. Using pupil voice, they share ideas, gather feedback from their classmates, and help shape exciting opportunities for everyone. Their dedication and enthusiasm make a real difference to how we enjoy PE and school sport!

After school clubs

Through our partnership with Premier Sports, we are able to offer a variety of fun and engaging after-school sports clubs. These sessions give children the opportunity to try new activities, develop their skills and stay active in a supportive and enjoyable environment. The PE Council plays an important role in helping to select and shape the range of after-school sports clubs we provide, ensuring they reflect the interests of our pupils. Harry Hepworth Visit

On Wednesday 7th May,  our children were treated to a special visit from Bronze Medal winning Olympic Gymnast, Harry Hepworth. Harry spoke to the children about life as an athlete, how he has achieved success through hard work and dedication and wowed the audience by walking on his hands and performing a backflip! Thanks for visiting,…

2J PE

2J have been improving their counter-balance skills. We got really good at sharing our weight and trusting in our partners to achieve great counter-balances.
