January 2018 – Whole School Remembrance Day
As a school we commemorated Remembrance day by using the Royal British Legion’s #Remembrance campaign to think about not only soldiers who died in WW1 and WW2 but soldier’s and their families who are fighting and dying today. We wrote tweets to express our thoughts about remembrance. We also made a poppy each, these were then put together to create a 3D poppy sculpture which was displayed in Cookridge Holy Trinity Church on Remembrance Sunday and is now displayed in our school entrance as a symbol of remembrance.
