Peat Rigg Residential – Day 1 Morning

What an exciting start to our Peat Rigg adventure! This morning, the playground was buzzing with excitement as children arrived clutching an array of suitcases and backpacks, ready for three days of fun and challenge ahead. With the sun peeping through the clouds and our fingers crossed for good weather for the days ahead (ignoring the forecast on the various weather apps we have been checking ) spirits were high from the very beginning.

There were huge smiles, nervous giggles and plenty of chatter as bags and suitcases were carefully loaded into the coach. Parents were treated to enthusiastic waves from windows as we said our goodbyes and set off on our journey. It wasn’t long before the coach was filled with laughter, singing and endless conversations about what activities might be waiting for us at Peat Rigg.
The excitement built with every mile travelled, although one question became the soundtrack of the journey: “Are we there yet?”  The anticipation was simply too much for some of the children to contain!

When we finally arrived at Peat Rigg, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, all wearing beaming smiles and ready to help us settle in. They spoke to the children about the exciting activities planned over the next few days and reminded everyone about the importance of teamwork, supporting one another and being brave enough to step outside of their comfort zones.

Our first challenge began almost immediately — sorting out rooms and tackling the tricky task of making beds! Fitted sheets proved to be quite the puzzle for some, but teamwork and determination quickly came to the rescue.

After a well-earned lunch, the children gathered to hear all about their first activities before heading off in their groups to begin the exciting challenges ahead. The Peat Rigg residential 2026 is up and running!
