BLOG FROM PEAT RIGG – Day One

Day one

We arrived at Peat Rigg after a super coach journey, which included various renditions of Queen’s We Will Rock You and Radio Ga Ga. After a quick tour and meet and greet, we had our lunch.
During lunch we were invaded by the chickens, which led to Mrs Marriott vs Chicken round 1 after it stole her tomato. Once lunch was demolished, it was time to find out who was in our dorms. Bed making, room checks and unpacking completed, onto the first activity: stream walk.
During the stream walk, we pushed ourselves and encouraged each other and got exSTREAMly wet!
After a quick shower and change it was time for tea: pasta or quiche- yum! This brought us to our final activity of the evening: nightline or orienteering. Some of us got wet by the naughty squirrels on nightline, whilst others got lost in the land of Peat Rigg.
All children accounted for, it was time to get into our PJs and have a hot chocolate before bed.
Once the talking had subsided, lights were turned out and everyone got a good night’s sleep- no grumpy teachers needed 🙂

Bring on day 2!
